Yesterday, on August 30, 2014 there was a special event in Irish Pub, Lazimpat where many of anime/manga fans from Kathmandu gathered and celebrated the first cosplay event. The event was organised by Otaku Club Nepal.
Majority of the cosplayers were in costumes of Naruto Characters, since it is popular around here. But there were others too who were cosplaying characters from other series. Since, this was the first event in Nepal some of the cosplayers were little shy. But the most bold of them was Roronoa Zoro. He was holding the real katana and cosplay seemed to fit perfect for him.
Overall, the event was complete success. Many people enjoyed the event. There were stall inside the pub where there was special anime merchandise for sale, there was food drinks. "This is lot of fun. I am really happy to be a part of this event" said Puja Rai who was cosplaying as Haruno Sakura. She also said that she was there with her friends and was glad to met other fellow anime/manga fans.
