There is no doubt that many fans are anxiously awaiting the Aug. 31 release of Anohana the Movie. Now, a preview of the movie has finally been released. On July 26, the preview was finished and released to the public.

From the time it first began airing during the noitaminA anime programming block on Fuji TV and other networks in 2011, Anohana has captured the hearts of many viewers. The story follows six friends who drifted apart after an accident that occurs during their childhood. Five years later, they gradually begin recovering their bonds with each other after an unexpected incident. This isn’t a robot anime, nor is it a love comedy. It is one that conveys the hearts of high school students who experience a miraculous summer together, and its story has captured the hearts of many fans. Anohana the Movie is the much-anticipated movie adaptation that depicts a reorganization of this story.

The newly released preview for the movie condenses its essence into 2-minutes. The movie is studded with memorable scenes from the TV anime, such as the tearful climax scene. The movie also has plenty of new, exclusive scenes. It seems that there is plenty to increase fans’ anticipation of its release even more.

Another point that has caught fans’ interest is its new story. The movie depicts what happens one year after the final moving scene in the last episode of the TV anime, offering fans a chance to see the new paths the characters, who have all matured a bit, are walking down, as well as learn about points in the story not explained in the TV anime. This is definitely news for fans to take note of.

Musical artist Galileo will be returning for the movie to create the theme song titled “Circle Game.” It can be said that the song, with its painful and nostalgic melody, fits the work perfectly.
