The anime Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, that was a huge success in the summer of 2011, is returning before fans in a new way. On Aug. 31, The filmAnohana the Movie will release in theaters throughout Japan.
The film’s story is of the past incidents portrayed in the TV series in the form of a reorganization of the series that all of Japan was moved by, as well as each Super Peace Busters members’ growth one year from the final episode. Of course, those who’ve never seen Anohana, as well as those who have watched the TV series many times over, will be able to fully enjoy the film.
The main and sub visuals of the film have been released. The main visual is one that has been used up until now as a poster. It has been reworked to include the characters as their younger selves in the background. The secondary visuals show elementary school aged Menma, Anaru, Yukiatsu, Tsuruko, and Poppo playing together, their secret base, and Jintan looking up into the sky. It is expected that each of these scenes will be expanded in the movie.
The original work is currently being rebroadcast on TV via Fuji TV’s noitaminA programming block. The passionate, deep emotion of fans’ hearts is once again being evoked, and that emotion will be spread out from the TV screen to the big screen.
