After watching all the episodes and movies of the Naruto franchise, the vague conclusion which I used to ponder over, is becoming intelligible. As we know, Naruto started off as a story centered on the perseverance and determination of an orphan who is being brought up in a world recovering from the aftermath of a World War. Initially the influencing factors for the fans of the franchise were the stupidity and hard work of the protagonist, Naruto – Sasuke gay quotient and rivalry, the sprouting love triangle, the ambiguity of the plot filled with jitsus and techniques and Mr. Orochimaru ( a classic villain who wanted to take over the world).
Gradually we began to see more complexities, mysterious foes (under the banner of Akatsuki) and increasing significance of the values of friendship and love. Then through the lives of Jiraya and Pain we were given a hint of the existence of a cycle of pain, which was also beginning to cast a shadow on Naruto’s life. Though recently the author extended this cycle concept to the lives of more people like Hashirima and Kakashi and is boring the brain out of fans, at first this factor, combined with other intriguing personalities like Jiraya and Itachi cemented the eyes of fans onto the screen.
Now after the 500+ episodes and manga chapters, a retrospection can reflect a rather simple fact, the entire story of this franchise, may be unknowing to the author, was puppeteered by Madara’s plans and his determination in ridding this world of its sadness and cycles of pain. Madara, who grew up amidst the constant battles of pre-village era, in spite of repeated betrayals and loses throughout his life was so adamant in his beliefs that he tailored the plan for his own revival and made the planet feel his presence even in his absence. The mere glimpse of the fact that he waited for the right opportunity in a half-dead state for decades is enough proof for anyone to understand the extent of his beliefs and mental fortitude. Now we are at a stage where we can easily comprehend the fact that if it were not for Madara, Naruto would have remained a happy kid adored by his popular parents, And Orochimaru would have been the only real threat, but considering the fact that 4th Hokage and Jiraya would have been alive, we can say Orochimaru would have ended up in some zoo. The concept is rather simple, only when there is a strong force from one side someone can rise up to oppose it, becoming popular and strong in the course. But here Madara’s personality, attributes and abilities are so stunning and indomitable that most of the manga fans are prompted to cheer for him to spank the crap out of “The Gay Duo” fighting him. Considering the fact he has been the only person who has not been moved by the “Lecture No Jutsu” of Naruto or anyone else, we can consider him to be the only person with a backbone in the franchise.
Even though the ambitions of Madara appear to be inane from our perspectives, his existence symbolizes the rare manifestation of manhood and “guts to never give up”. Keeping this aside, the infield capabilities of this battle hardened veteran is self-explanatory from the sightings of the tailed beasts getting spanked like puppies. It is easy to conclude that there is a hidden symphony of valor and bravery inside this series, that is Uchiha Madara. It is impossible to tell whether Kishimoto would make Madara also susceptible to the “Lecture no Jitsu” in the upcoming chapters. If that happens I will simply conclude that Kishimoto has not understood his own creations properly, because, had there been a real Madara he would have bitch slapped Naruto till his last breath.
